Spent almost 1k today. Long & Macquade had a huge sale.. too bad i only got to go after class

by the time we got there most of the sale stuff was gone. luckily we went to the 

one all the way in markham where i found rokit powered 8's for cheaper than the 6's

ohh happy day! also got my loop pedal i ordered and a new instrument! Hello Kalimba ! 

I shall soon name and master you.. 

Residency !

Had long talks with a couple classmates after class and ate dinner with em yesterday 

then went back down to Not My Dog with mae to pick up my uke that i forgot the other night 

and get our cut from the night. found out the owner of the place really liked our set

and wants us to host our own residency during the summer (:

soo excited! can't wait to perform more often again <3 ohh

then sang a couple songs for the open mic and made my way back home (:

Honcho poncho

barely had any sleep the other night. i am quite sleep deprived

and i feel as if i am only in the mood to record really late at night..

like typically1-4am, it's been happening a lot recently and it kinda works

cause i listen to the tracks the next morning in the studio and they dont sound bad..

could be better sometimes but not baaaad ;)

ps. sex talks with the rents are. not. fun. 

I heart Soft Feet

Mama and papa came home from San Francisco last night. Learned that san Francisco is in California and that California is a state.. I always thought LA was the state. Whatever, im not American, there's my excuse for stupidity. Anyways, they showed me their pictures from their trip.. It was quite hilarious. My parents make quite the pair of tourists with their cheesy poses, maps and roots shirts.

oh! And showed my class a dry recording of dear dancer I recorded last night too and they loved it! I was so happy but im still not sure if I should use that song for the cd cause I really wanted a plait song to be in the final cd =/ ahh we'll see..

Tattoos on this town

Another long day of school. Collab class was great, everyones songs turned out amazing. Can't wait to collab with everyone else! Also sang a few songs for the little open mic they had at the lounge. That's basically it.

Dont mind if I do

Long day at school. Then josh picked me up and we hung out at his place, went for sushi and got secret driving lessons. It was nice :)

school, then work.

woke up to my dad nagging at me to get off my bed and take my mattress off cause my new one came in!

im so happy, this is my first legit bed. been using my old one since i was off the crib

rolled around in it as soon as it was settled.. my dad just watched me lol

school was great as usual. met a new prof for live sound who is amazing! 

he's just a really interesting, intelligent man who quotes and references just about everything

and then had work which was chill as usual felt talkative today and had tons of 

conversations with customers. finally got an album from the huge stack i have held in employee holds

i have about 9 more to buy slowly.. and i'll just keep buying more.. i have a problem.

heard gimme some was a good one. oh and also got the first 3 Xmens

then jamie took me home and got to catch up with the girl. finally! (:

Babies

Went to my cousins baby shower today. was nice seeing most of the family again. It's pretty crazy how much older everyone's gotten and starting to see the next generation plie in. The future intrigues me.

Tryna finish up this grant for tomorrow's business class and hoping i can do my sound & recording assignment during my break tomorrow :/ Wanna get through this week, kinda don't. Wish my program for school was a lot longer...

Here's a new original i wrote for songwriting class. It's an autobiographical song where there's no rhymes and describes a certain time in my life. I wrote this one about visting my old neighbour and old house in Toronto yesterday.

i got some equipment for my recording over the weekend. Apogee one audio interface ($250) and Audio Midi Axiom 49 (used $130) and still have my protools ordered! cant wait to be hella confused with tryna record shit! woo! The apogee btw is AMAZING and i suggest this for anyone whose on a budget and wants great quality for the price! anywho im in the library right now finishing up homework due today.. slacker mode is slowly coming back.. it needs to go away, now. anyways im starving having only eating half a mini burger last night and nothing today so far.. i really hope theres money in my debit (yn)
