Had class then went to Mississauga with the band to practice at the place we're 

going to perform on the 18th.

Residency !

Had long talks with a couple classmates after class and ate dinner with em yesterday 

then went back down to Not My Dog with mae to pick up my uke that i forgot the other night 

and get our cut from the night. found out the owner of the place really liked our set

and wants us to host our own residency during the summer (:

soo excited! can't wait to perform more often again <3 ohh

then sang a couple songs for the open mic and made my way back home (:

Practiced with the band then went to a cultural radio station to promote our gigs on 101.3 FM and performed. Was a great experience. So many things ahead of us.. I cant wait.

Jan 8th.

Sister turned 22 on Sunday. Went to Spoon & Fork for lunch. Most of their food contained peanuts so me and my sister just had all you can eat sushi which was still really good. Dynamite roll was amaaaaazing!

Then like i said, last day of shooting for hometown punc. 

update

the break was pretty hectic. worked like crazy the first two weeks cause of christmas and boxing week. the store actually wasnt that bad at all. and my manager was sick at the back most of the time so everyone else in the front just fucked around basically. christmas like all past christmases recently didnt really feel like christmas, especially cause it didnt snow. but christmas morning was really nice with my family, serious bonding moments. This christmas i kinda went all out on the gifts i bought so i was excited to give them. first time i realized how much i like buying people things i know they'd like. i actually got a "this is the best gift i've ever gotten" from a co worker im not all that close with.
the last week was basically plaitwrights stuff. shooting for hometown punc. and band practices for our gigs coming up. the practices were really productive and fun (: came up with crazy renditions to our own songs.  can't wait to perform them!
the filming was fun too. got to dress up in xylks clothes, double ride on a bike with 9 other bikes in ski masks and pretend to be violent and shit. the only downside was the cold. especially the last day of shooting! and having cold urticaria didnt help too much... AND HOLY CRAP i just googled cold urticaria (cause i spelled it wrong) and it said it could result to fainting, shock or death :| ahh thats so scary..
but yeah last day was baaad i actually ended up breaking down a bit.. i felt like such a softy. had mad respect for xylk and saw how much this video meant to him sucking it up and finishing the footage (:
school started yesterday and im loving the new courses right now.. it scares me to be in a program thats perfect for me and only be there for a year. in a few months, that's it. im gonna take everything i've learned and do this. be an independent artist. damn. it's just a little frightening to me still but i have to get out there sometime. and i guess the sooner the better? we'll see.
anyways that was long, sorry to bore you if you actually read this far! :P

Went to check out the venue tonight for our Jan 31st show with xylk, Antonio and mae. Really small venue. But intimate.. Very very intimate. performed a couple songs for their open mic. hope to get ourselves ready by then.

ps. thank you for everything you've done for me. i could take every bad joke, every mock, every really ugly look, it's worth just knowing you, let alone having you as a great friend AND musical partner. im sorry for all the doubts and silliness before. I'm really glad i met you and i couldn't ask for a better partner. thanks for keeping me grounded. i know i have your word that we'll make this duo the best anyone's seen while sticking to who we are. plaitwrights <3

New Cover!

what i did when i said i was recording (: enjoy as i slowly die under all this stress with studying and finishing assignments! ahh

we 'bout to blow up.. on rooftops!

Was so greatly blessed to perform on the Thompson's Hotel rooftop tonight for the relaunch of enRoute magazine. Shit. was. legit. the hotel firstly, was amazing. It felt like i was in a gossip girl episode. Had xylk tag along because i didn't wanna be alone while i performed. it was alright considering the fact that i was just background music to people's networking and conversations. but i was told that people were still listening which is good enough for me (: later on the night got to do a little of my own networking handing out my very amateur business cards and whatnot with xylk. And! saw sheena snively which got me real excited to talk to her and such. tonight was a great night. things are looking awesome! though my school's already kinda suffering and so is my sleep -___- with that being said i should really get started on my homework and take this much needed rest.. P L A IT!

Plaitwrights x Opera House For Gloc-9 & Bamboo!

Went to church this morning where the priest preached about God having confidence and the faith in us to do anything that will make this world a better place in His eyes. That we will have our doubts and insecurities but really, we shouldn't. knowing that God has a plan and faith in us is all we need to push through towards what we desire in all goodness. I found this in a clear example of what had happened afterwards. The chances were soo slim in having us (plaitwrights) perform for Gloc-9 and Bamboo's sold out, 19+ event at the Opera House. But with much prayer, connections, and very genuine artists, fate pulled though and i never felt so blessed in my life. I can honestly say that without the other half and one quarter (Xylk and Julius) i wouldn't be able to grow as the artist i am slowly turning out to be. I saw the faith and and confidence from God in the two of you and for that, i can feel even more blessed to know the two of you and be able to experience what we just did tonight. I have fully taken in and learned so much today and with that being said, here's to a much needed sleep! p l a it!

went to hooters for the first time last week with the boys after a recording sesh. it was interesting.. all you can eat wings. i slowly regretted eating a bit before then :( i was dead half was in the second round lol even pooing in between (my main strategy) didnt work ! but overall, im not much of a wings person.. i need my rice with my meat. just sayin.

Warning shoot

Filmed for Plaitwrights first official music video for Warning. It surprisingly took about 3ish, 4 hours without much planning and just going with whatever lol but the whole thing was pretty damn legit. Three cameras going, everyone at kenslington staring at us... mainly blowsie though lol. she was a hit. It was an amazing day out too.. just really damn hot, got soo sweaty before even getting there. but overall it was fun, tiring and real exciting to get a little sneak peak of what's in store for us in the future. this is definitely the first of many music videos bloggers, so watch out for that! we have soo much more we're dying to share with everyone! starting with Warning.. i really can't wait for when it's done ahh =/ I'm honestly soo greatful for everyone who's so supportive and believes in us. i thank you so much! and a special thanks to marthy and Vincent for the awesome job in filming our video.. its not edited and already i love it lol <3 can't wait!
